The Oxfam Confederation was there for over 14.25 million people in a time of crisis.
When disasters hit, we worked alongside local organisations to deliver clean water, food, shelter and other essentials.
We also tackled the root causes of poverty — from climate change and conflict to inequality — helping communities rebuild and create lasting change.

To contribute to change that lasts, we work alongside local organisations to transform the systems, policies and practices that have the most significant impact on people’s lives.
We work closely with communities on the ground because these are the people who know what’s needed. This allows us to learn about the challenges facing communities and develop projects that will create lasting change for generations to come.

Humanitarian aid
Across the world, people are facing the impacts of conflict, climate change and inequality. Together with local organisations, we deliver life-saving essentials like water, food and shelter. And when the immediate danger passes, we stay to help communities rebuild and face the future with strength.

Advocacy and campaigns
Right now, we live in an unequal world. And we refuse to accept it. That's why we take action against injustice wherever it happens. We challenge decision-makers, stand with people whose rights are denied, and support activists pushing for change.

Long-term development
Our work addresses the root causes of poverty and inequality. We push for equal rights and opportunities, especially for women and LGBTQ+ communities. We call for urgent climate action, and work to create fairer economic systems that put people and the planet before profits.

For more than 230 years, the First Peoples of Australia have faced deep inequality and injustice.
As the original custodians of this land, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples are too often denied their fair share of its resources and excluded from decisions that shape their lives and Country. Yet their strength, resilience and leadership continue to inspire change.
Together, we can walk alongside First Peoples communities in their ongoing fight for equality.
