Local and special interest groups in South Australia & Northern Territory meet for awareness-raising, campaigning and fundraising activities to support Oxfam Australia's programs both in Australia and in developing nations around the world.

Location-based groups in SA
Adelaide Uni Group
The Adelaide Uni Group works to raise awareness of Oxfam’s work and promotes Fairtrade on campus. Contact Chloe Hillary or visit the group on facebook
St Mary's Group
St Mary's Group meets every six weeks and has regular speakers on Oxfam issues; organises various fundraising activities including an annual Quiz Night, film nights, a street stall, an annual Solstice Dinner, and provides volunteers for the Bookshop. Contact: Peter McInerney.
Norwood/Burnside Group
The Norwood/Burnside group a small group that meets regularly to discuss current Oxfam issues and has occasional speakers. Organises various fundraising activities such as film nights and interesting walks, and provides volunteers for the Bookshop. Contact: Ros Sinclair.
North Adelaide/Prospect Group
The North Adelaide/Prospect Group organises various fundraising activities including wine sales and supplying volunteers to the bookshop; and organizes regular Campaign Café meetings where speakers address current issues related to development and aid. Contact: Jenny Court.
Mitcham Hills Group
Mitcham Hills Group holds four meetings each year, has regular invited speakers, an annual Christmas Tree sale, a stall at the annual Rotary Fair, and provides volunteers for the Bookshop. Contact: Prim Dube.
Southern Fleurieu Group
The Southern Fleurieu Group meets regularly; organises an annual Community Challenge, an annual Quiz Night; and other fundraising activities. Contact: Melanie Reid.
Stirling Group
The Stirling Group meets every two months; organises various fundraising activities such as an annual Quiz Night, a garage sale, sale of Christmas trees, and participation in the annual Open Garden Festival, and provides volunteers for the Bookshop. Contact: David Ferrie.
Special interest groups
Bookshop group
The bookshop opens on Tuesdays, Fridays and Saturdays from 9 - 5. The bookshop committee attends to the sorting and pricing of books and volunteers help by serving and helping customers. Contact: Jenny Court
Location-based groups in NT
Darwin Alternative Trading Group (DATG)
Since 1992 the DATG have been holding a stall at the Rapid Creek market selling fair trade goods direct to locals and local businesses while raising the awareness of the importance of fair trade and the work of Oxfam Australia. In 2003 a second stall was established at the Nightcliff Market in collaboration with Amnesty International and the Environmental Centre.
