Oxfam events
There are many ways to get involved in our work but joining an Oxfam event is definitely one of the easiest, not to mention the most fun. We have events to suit all tastes and ages, from large-scale fundraising events like Trailwalker to awareness raising events like National Close the Gap Day to smaller state-based events run by local Oxfam groups.
Some of the big events
Oxfam Trailwalker
Trailwalker is the world's greatest team event, involving thousands of walkers and volunteers. Run in Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane, teams of four must cross 100km of Australian bush in less than 48 hours and collectively raise at least $1,000 to help to overcome poverty and suffering around the world. Find out more about Trailwalker.
National Close the Gap Day
Every year we encourage people to hold their own event on National Close the Gap Day to raise awareness about the 17-year life expectancy gap between Indigenous and non-Indigenous Australians. Find out more about National Close the Gap Day.
Other events
Whether you’re into walking, running or bike riding we’ve got an event to inspire you. Some amazing people are also running their own events in support of Oxfam. Find out more
