Host an 'Exchange for Change' party - have fun, share with friends and re-vamp your wardrobe for next to nothing. You'll be helping Oxfam Australia to find solutions to global poverty and injustice at the same time.
Exchange for Change is a new fundraising event that lets you experience the thrill of shopping for next to no cost. Kicking off on 1 September 2009, Exchange for Change involves women across Australia hosting clothes swap parties - get together with your friends and colleagues, swap clothing items that you no longer love or want, and help support Oxfam Australia's invaluable work around the world.
Exchange for Change is shopping made fun for fashionistas with a conscience!
How do I participate?
- Sign up today to become a host by sending the organiser an email.
- Then create your own fundraising page
- Host your party: You can host your own party at anytime and anywhere that suits you during September. Get together with friends, family and colleagues and organise a fun event at home, in the office, at your mothers' group meeting, book club or any other social or sporting group.
- Have fun, swap clothes and re-vamp your wardrobe.
- Make a voluntary donation to Oxfam Australia and encourage everyone at your party to do so too. Sponsor a participant
- Donate any leftover clothing to your nearest charity op shop.
Remember even if you can't host or attend an event, you can make a donation at any time online or by downloading our donation form.
