Thousands of people all over Australia have participated in the Walk Against Want since it began 44 years ago.

The walk's original aim was to raise awareness of the plight of women in the world’s poorest communities, who have to walk long distances each day to collect clean water. It has since become one of our most successful fundraising events.

Walk Against Want is a great way for schools and events students to run a successful event that not only benefits their studies, but also our work. To find out more please visit the education page.
