Thanks to the thousands of people who participated in Walk Against Warming on 15 August 2010. Our politicians haven’t shown enough leadership on climate change, and you've shown them that Australia still cares about climate change and wants action.
2009 Walk against Warming
From 7-18 December 2009 the governments of the world met in Copenhagen to decide on a new global climate treaty. This meeting was one of the world’s last chances to avoid catastrophic climate change and provide a safe and just future for millions of people already feeling climate impacts in developing countries.
While the results of the meeting were disappointing, some progress was made. Thank you for taking to the streets, to demand that our government help deliver a fair ambitious and binding global climate agreement. Check out photos from the day.
