The human face of production

I always hope that Adidas consumers will think more about the issues faced by the people who make the shoes that they wear. Don’t just be influenced by the sports shoes advertisements that emphasise luxury, wealth, strength and quality. Instead try to look behind the scenes at the workers who make those shoes and see the human face of production.

As for my message to Adidas: try to strengthen the workers rights to unionise so that workers are not exploited by their employers. There are already too many workers who have worked for decades without ever receiving their rights.

I also think that workers themselves should try their best to organise, so that they can pass on their messages effectively.
