The nations of the world have set 2009 as the year to achieve a global agreement to tackle climate change. Key negotiations will take place at a series of United Nations (UN) meetings. Become an e-monitor and ensure the Australian Government plays a constructive role in the negotiations and stop catastrophic climate change occurring.

The Rudd Government recently announced a 5-15% greenhouse gas pollution reduction target by 2020. This is not enough to avoid dangerous climate change that will threaten the livelihoods of millions of people in our region. Write to Senator Wong, Minister for Climate Change and Water,
to demand Australia take stronger action.

Canvas for Change
In September 2008 Oxfam invited Australians to create artworks that tell the climate change story for vulnerable communities in developing countries. Over 12,000 votes were cast by the public for the Australian canvas they believe most effectively communicates a climate change story.
