As well as supporting people living with HIV and helping them develop sustainable livelihoods, Oxfam's program in Malawi also involves teaching poor people basic literacy so they can gain access to jobs and participate in decisions that affect their lives. Pictured here is Emme Murama, learning book keeping skills in Tambala Village, Malawi.

aware - regular giving program
Help fund long-term projects in poor communities overseas and in Indigenous Australia, by joining our regular giving program aware and making a donation each month.
How aware works
Donations to the aware program can be automatically deducted from your bank account, or via credit card each month. Your monthly gift will help provide health clinics, clean water and schooling to poor communities and help them protect their rights, livelihoods and the environment.
Become an aware member, and receive:
- The knowledge that you are helping to create lasting change in someone's life by helping their community help itself.
- Regular updates on our program work.
- Our quarterly Oxfam Update magazine, which keeps you in touch with news and views about poverty, development and social justice issues.
- Tax deductibility on all donations of $2 and over. A statement of your contributions will be issued each year for taxation purposes.
- The knowledge that you are supporting an Australian, secular aid organisation that is committed to helping people help themselves and bring about long-term change.
Become an aware member and give generously to help create lasting change for poor communities.
