Make your will their future

During my sixteen years at Oxfam Australia, I have seen first-hand the many and diverse ways we are working for a just world without poverty. From the smallest villages to the holders of power, our work is making a difference.

I’ve also had the privilege of meeting people in developing countries and in Indigenous Australia whose rights we are seeking to protect and advance.

Our development work is only possible because of your support. Over the years, an increasingly important source of funding has come from supporters remembering Oxfam Australia in their will. Often supporters can leave a gift in their will that they are unable to give during their lifetime.

You can be certain a bequest will help us to continue helping thousands of people improve their lives through better crops, more food, cleaner water, less disease and greater access to healthcare and education.

When we are planning our long-term development programs, it helps if we know that supporters have left a bequest for us. You don’t have to discuss details or specifics, just the knowledge of your intentions can do a world of good.

I hope that you will consider taking the next step because a bequest to Oxfam Australia will provide a lifetime of opportunity for others. Thank you,

Andrew Hewett

Executive Director, Oxfam Australia
