International law firm Mallesons Stephen Jaques is one of Oxfam’s valued corporate partners.
In May 2009 Mallesons made the switch to Oxfam Fairtrade tea in its Sydney centre. This was celebrated with an Oxfam Fairtrade Morning Tea for the Sydney office staff with representatives from Oxfam Australia furthering awareness of fair trade and Oxfam products. Mallesons is looking to make the switch nationally by the end of 2009.

Mallesons has been supporting Oxfam’s Indigenous Australia program through its Workplace Giving Program since 2003. The program enables staff to support Oxfam Australia via payroll deductions which are matched by the firm. To date, over $200,000 has been donated to Oxfam through this program. In addition, the firm has also provided further support for Oxfam through the purchase of Cirque du Soleil tickets and by entering teams in the Oxfam TRAILWALKER event.
Mallesons is proud of its ongoing contribution to the community – ‘Mallesons in the Community’ is a firm-wide strategy that enables its staff to contribute to community organisations through the provision of pro bono legal assistance, volunteer activities, donations through the Workplace Giving program, information technology, training and other business support services.
