Climate Change Advocacy Coordinator - Sydney or Melbourne

We need your advocacy expertise and skills in research and policy development to lead our strategies on issues related to climate change and its impact on vulnerable groups in developing countries.
You will have a thorough understanding of processes for positively influencing government policy formation, high level communication skills and be capable of presenting research findings in an accessible manner for a range of audiences.

Violence Against Women Program Manager - Solomon Islands
Applications Close: 29 Jul 09
The Violence Against Women Program Manager has overall management responsibility for the Standing Together Against Violence program, which contributes to the reduction of acceptance in the Solomon Islands of violence against women and improves support services for those suffering abuse.
The role will facilitate the development of the program approach in accordance with learning from implementation and support networking and coordination amongst a range of stakeholders and seek to build advocacy and policy influencing skills.
Key requirements:
- Knowledge and experience of implementing gender or gender violence focused programs
- Experience of leading/facilitating program development processes involving a range of stakeholders
- Experience integrating cross-cutting issues in programs, with particular emphasis on gender as well as human rights, HIV & AIDS, child protection and civil society strengthening
- Experience in capacity building of local NGOs, local organisations, national counterparts and staff
3 year full time contract.

Mekong Regional Program Manager (to be based in Cambodia or Laos)

We need your strong leadership and strategic management skills to support our Mekong regional program (operating in Cambodia, Laos, Vietnam, China and Myanmar) and bring together the development, advocacy and humanitarian aspects of our work.
Your knowledge and experience of complex change management processes will support you in negotiating the future direction of joint programs in the Mekong region.
Key requirements:
- Proven senior management experience in leading the design and delivery of complex programs in a range of contexts
- Proven experience in leading and motivating multi disciplinary teams and stakeholders (internal and external) in the delivery of program strategy
- Extensive experience and understanding of community development, advocacy, gender mainstreaming and humanitarian work principles
- Demonstrated understanding of organisational change principles
- Experience in financial management
