Volunteers at Melbourne TRAILWALKER 2008

Volunteer with us

Volunteering is a great way to be part of Oxfam Australia's work. We rely on the valuable support of volunteers throughout Australia who help us to change the lives of people living with poverty and injustice around the world.

People of all ages, cultural backgrounds and professions volunteer with us. So, if you have some spare time and want to put your skills, energy and passion to work, check out the different ways you can volunteer.

How can I volunteer?

At our offices

If you’re 18 years or older, you can volunteer at one of our offices in Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, Adelaide or Perth. Register now and see the volunteer positions on offer in your state.

Meet Fia, one of our amazing office volunteers.

At an event

Have you ever considered walking 100km in under 48 hours? If that doesn’t sound like fun, don’t worry. How about giving a few hours of your time to help run this incredible fundraising event? Volunteer for Oxfam TRAILWALKER Melbourne or Oxfam TRAILWALKER Sydney

In your community

Check our Community Volunteer Toolkit for more information about how you can use your precious time and energy to promote our work.

As part of an Oxfam group

Join an Oxfam group and meet people who share a common interest in social justice and sustainable development. Groups rely on volunteers with diverse backgrounds, skills and interests and are involved in campaigning, awareness-raising and fundraising.

As part of the Skills Sharing Scheme

The Skills Sharing Scheme aims to strengthen not-for-profit organisations by matching skilled volunteers with small non-government organisations and community groups in Melbourne.

We are looking for volunteers with skills in a range of areas. If you can help or would like to find out more please contact us
