Australian mining companies operating overseas face challenges in relation to human rights, especially those that operate in confl ict and post-conflict zones, and where governance is weak. This report describes the role effective grievance mechanisms can play in dealing with those challenges, and in establishing and maintaining good corporate–community relationships.
