Walk Against Want at your school
Schools
Walk against Want is a fun way to educate students on the importance of social justice and enables them to take personal action by planning, promoting and participating in activities that support Oxfam Australia’s work.
We can provide schools with a manual that offers a practical guide to help students run their event. These materials give teachers a resource they can use to inform students of the many activities Oxfam is involved in. They are adaptable for students of a variety of ages, from upper-primary to year 12.
Events Students
The walk is a great opportunity for events students to gain experience in managing an event that helps to increase campaign awareness and raise funds towards our work. Best of all students have the opportunity of holding a walk whenever it suits them to tie into their Event Management Project. We can provide students with a manual that offers a practical guide to help students run their event.
Running your own event has never been simpler and more rewarding!
