Oxfam at Queenscliff Music Festival

Campaigning for change article written on the 08 Nov 2010

This year, for the first time, Oxfam will be present at the Queenscliff Music Festival. The festival organisers have acknowledged the social importance of our organisation and invited us to have a significant presence at the festival.

This represents part of our latest venture: the Oxfam Summer project!
We’ll be out and about at all the major music, cultural and other festivals in Victoria and Tasmania for the 2010/2011 summer season, hopefully with an aim to expand this out to the rest of Australia.

We’ll be setting up spaces at festivals to provide:

  • a comfortable space to relax and learn more about our work
  • fun, colourful and engaging activities on a range of topics – from climate change to indigenous rights
  • an opportunity to actively participate in the campaign work of Oxfam.

First cab off the rank in this project, the Queenscliff Music Festival will take place in the last weekend of November in Queenscliff and will feature acts such as RocKwiz Live, Kate Miller-Heidke, John Williamson, Little Red, Black Sorrows and many more.

If you would like to combine a new and exciting Oxfam experience with these and more great artists  stay tuned for more updates on Oxfam Summer!
