Girls education crucial in Afghanistan

In 2001, just 5,000 girls in Afghanistan were enrolled in school. Today, that number is 2.4 million. But poverty and growing insecurity are among the many barriers girls face in their struggle to get an education. In a new report, Oxfam and 15 other aid groups examine the obstacles that are threatening the progress girls have made.
