How do I get involved?
Already entered the race?
You can still be part of our dedicated team of runners by setting up a fundraising page online.
How much money do you need to raise to make a difference?
In 2015, Team Oxfam raised over $15,000 for people living in poverty. Here are some examples of how — with your support – we can change the lives of people living in poverty:
- $49 can buy an emergency hygiene kit, containing soap, towels, and basic toiletries, to keep a family safe when outbreaks of diarrhoea, cholera, dengue fever and malaria are an increasing threat
- $100 can purchase communications equipment, including megaphones, walkie-talkies and a radio, needed to improve early warning and response during an emergency
- $200 can buy a bicycle for a community worker in Mozambique, enabling them to reach remote communities with health services and hygiene promotion
- $490 can pay for a boat that a community in India can use to get to safety during a flood
We look forward to welcoming you to Team Oxfam so we can outrun poverty together. If you have any questions or would like to know more about City2Surf, email the Events and Fundraising team or call our customer service team on 1800 088 110.
