Bangladesh Rohingya Refugee Crisis

Help save lives of Rohingya refugees in Bangladesh

You can help save the lives of Rohingya refugees in Bangladesh

Nearly 700,000 Rohingya refugees have crossed over to Bangladesh from Myanmar. Almost a quarter are pregnant women, new mothers and children under five.

Now, there are a million people crowded together in camps with little or no food, shelter and clean drinking water, the risk of waterborne diseases is alarmingly high. Women, girls and children are also particularly vulnerable to sexual violence.

And now, a crisis within a crisis pends as the approaching monsoon season threatens to wash away makeshift homes - with an estimated 200,000 people most at risk.

We are on the ground, and have reached over 230,000 of the most vulnerable people with clean drinking water, portable toilets, sanitation facilities and other essential supplies.

With your help we can prevent the worst from happening. But we must act now.

Note: Should the funds raised exceed the amount required to meet the immediate and longer term needs of the people in the affected areas, Oxfam Australia will direct donations to our International Crisis Fund to enable us to rapidly address emergencies as they occur.
