Earthquake Devastates Nepal
On 25 April 2015, a powerful 7.6 magnitude earthquake hit Nepal, killing more than 8,800 people and leaving hundreds of thousands of people homeless, without food, water and with their livelihoods destroyed.
Oxfam teams have been in Nepal responding with lifesaving essentials — clean water, sanitation and emergency shelter — and helping the people of Nepal to rebuild and recover.
But as one of the world’s poorest countries, there are still millions of people in Nepal relying on humanitarian aid and it will take them many years to rebuild homes and livelihoods. But your generosity will help. Please give what you can today.
Note: Should the funds raised exceed the amount required to meet the immediate and longer term needs of the people in the affected areas, Oxfam Australia will direct donations to our International Crisis Fund to enable us to rapidly address emergencies as they occur.
