Yemen Crisis

The crisis in Yemen is affecting thousands like Sahem, aged 8, who walks miles each day to fetch water

Deadly clashes and air strikes in Yemen have seen more than 4,300 people killed and 22,000 people injured since violence escalated in mid-March 2015.

Since the escalation in violence, Oxfam has reached over 271,000 people directly with safe and clean water, cash payments to allow families displaced by the conflict to buy basic commodities like food, as well as the provision of hygiene kits, and livestock. Through agreements with local water authorities, Oxfam has also helped to maintain clean water supplies to 1 million people in Aden and Lahj, in the south and Hodeidah in the north.

We must do all we can to prevent any further suffering to those who already desperately need help.

Please donate to our International Crisis Fund to ensure our teams are able to respond quickly and efficiently, to help those most in need like in Yemen, when a natural or a man-made emergency occurs around the globe.
