Do you believe in climate justice? Join us to make history!

Destructive weather fueled by climate change is causing an increase floods, fires, and historic famines that are devastating lives all over the world. Whilst climate change affects us all, it hurts some people more than others and many communities are struggling to survive.

Women, young people, First Peoples, and those already experiencing poverty or inequality are at greatest risk.

The climate crisis and the system that created it are the biggest contributors to global poverty and inequality today. Years of reckless climate policy has allowed fossil fuel giants to get rich by mining and burning coal, oil and gas like there’s no tomorrow while those who contributed least to the crisis are plunged deeper into poverty. It is estimated that climate change could drive a further 122 million people into extreme poverty by 2030.

Join us in demanding equality and call on the government to:
  • Immediately increase Australia’s current climate finance to $3 billion over 2020-2025
  • Reduce carbon emissions by 75% by 2030 and reach net-zero by 2035
  • Develop a plan to rapidly phase-out coal and gas from Australia's energy supply

We need to act now to preserve lives and livelihoods. Doing nothing risks a massive increase in poverty, inequality and devastating environmental impacts. It’s our problem to solve together. In solidarity with people all over the world – we can push governments to make the changes we need.

The only way to out of the climate crisis is together that’s why we need fund solutions and reduce emissions.

Immediately increase Australia’s current climate finance to $3 billion over 2020-2025 – by accepting responsibility and increasing the money we provide low-income countries they can support those who are most impacted by the climate crisis. This supports funding of smart local lead solutions such community renewable energy schemes or sustainable farm practices that will enable communities to adapt and survive into the future.
