We’re proud to announce that on Monday 27 October 2025, Senator Fatima Payman tabled the Not In My Name petition in the Senate, meaning it will be delivered to Prime Minister Albanese in the coming days.
59,780 people like you signed the petition and demanded real action to end Israel’s genocide. This important campaign milestone ensures your voices will be heard. We can’t thank you enough for standing in solidarity with Palestinians.
Here’s a video of the petition being tabled by Senator Fatima Payman:
The delivery of our signed petition sends a powerful message to the Prime Minister that Australians refuse to be complicit in Israel’s violence. It strengthens our call that:
- The Australian Government must apply full diplomatic pressure to restore the principled, safe, unimpeded, and sustained humanitarian access across Gaza as promised by the ceasefire.
- The Australian Government must stop all direct and indirect sales of Australian made and/or designed weapons to Israel.
Oxfam supporters have also kindly donated almost $500,000 during the campaign which will support the Oxfam confederations response in Gaza and our global work campaigning for a permanent end to Israel’s unlawful occupation and blockade.
The Oxfam confederation has been delivering cash assistance, clean water, hygiene items and psychosocial support through local Palestinian partners, but this is nowhere near the scale required.
The current ceasefire promised unimpeded humanitarian access to the hundreds and thousands of Palestinians who require life-saving support. But Israel is falling short of this commitment, undermining the credibility and humanitarian impact of this ceasefire before it’s truly begun.
It is more important than ever that the Australian Government act to support Palestinians in Gaza. With the delivery of the Not In My Name petition, you’re helping us increase the pressure and demand real leadership.
