In your community

Oxfam is all about the power of people against poverty. You are central to creating change in the world and the best place to start is in your own community.

Oxfam’s community network is a group of activists who want to shake things up! Just like you, they believe in working together to create a better world. Network members are involved in campaigning, lobbying, study programs, awareness raising and creating events. As an active network member you can contribute significantly to achieving a just world without poverty.

We campaign so the voices of the people we work with influence the local and global decisions that affect them. Part of this work involves mobilising Australians to demand change and make informed and ethical consumer choices.

Come along to local trainings and learn about our latest campaigns on Australian aid, food and climate justice, indigenous health equality.

There are many ways you can get involved – join a group or start one of your own, fundraise for Oxfam in your school, university or community or influence your decision-makers.
