What is happening in Gaza?
Despite a ceasefire, the Israeli Government has not restored unimpeded humanitarian access to Gaza. The people of Gaza are still struggling to survive without adequate humanitarian aid as renewed conflict in the region exacerbates an already serious crisis.
Despite severe restrictions and the Israeli Government’s registration measures, the Oxfam confederation and our partners have continued delivering life-saving support in Gaza.
For months, formal supply requests have been blocked, yet our Palestinian staff and partners have kept operations going, finding every possible route to reach families in need. In some cases, our staff have had to scavenge through rubble for materials to restore life-saving water wells.
Public support is vital to keep our teams on the ground and ensure families in Gaza receive the assistance they urgently need. Your solidarity helps us continue this life-saving work and continue to advocacy for a return to full, unimpeded humanitarian access to Gaza.
To date, the Oxfam confederation and our partners have reached over 1,390,421 people across Gaza, the West Bank and Lebanon with cash assistance, trucking clean water, essential water infrastructure repairs, psychosocial and protection services.
