Help provide clean water for women in PNG

Because women and girls deserve better

For generations, our neighbours in Papua New Guinea have endured a life of hardship. Among other challenges, they do not have easy access to clean water like we do.

In the highlands in particular, women – like Javoto (pictured) – must make a dangerous journey down then up a muddy, slippery mountainside every day to get water. And the water is dirty and unsafe.

Javoto and her family are at risk of illness every day. They can’t break free from their life of poverty when every day is a struggle just to get water to survive. And now with the coronavirus, the stakes are even higher.

But by donating today, you can help get clean water to those who need it most.

Together, we can help women and the next generation of girls gain easy access to clean water so they can protect their health and their futures.

Your donation will be used in support of Oxfam’s efforts around the world. This is one of the many ways we work with communities living in poverty to improve their lives.
