Something happened that I never wished for…

A short while ago something happened to me that I never expected and never wanted.  I fell very ill.  To begin with it was only a fever, so I bought some medicine at the local street stall.  But it didn’t help.  Actually it made my condition worse.  Because I don’t have any work and my income is next to nothing, I didn’t want to seek treatment.  I would just grin and bear it.

A few of my friends from my union GSBI came to my house to check on me.  They advised me to go to a doctor.  I refused.  My friend Neneng insisted that she would help cover the cost of treatment.  Finally I accepted her offer.  I was examined by the doctor that evening and the next morning I had a blood test.  I came up positive for Dengue Fever.  I was shocked.

I asked the doctor, can I just try to recover at home?  The doctor said I couldn’t because it was very dangerous and I would need special care at a hospital.  I was taken to hospital, but all the while I was stressed because I had no idea how I would cover all the costs.

Alhamdulillah, my prayers were answered and I express my deepest gratitude to friends, including GSBI members who came to visit me and helped me to pay the expenses with their personal funds.A

Amin
