Julie Goodwin cooks for Oxfam

When Julie Goodwin from Masterchef gets involved in food, she does it on a big scale – a global scale. In the latest installment of the popular cooking show,  she is raising awareness and funds for Oxfam’s GROW campaign, to create a world without hunger.

“My charity is Oxfam Australia. I am involved in their GROW campaign, which is addressing issues of hunger and poverty. The world does produce enough food for everyone, but one billion people go hungry every day. Oxfam is working to change that and I am proud to be a part of their efforts.” – Julie Goodwin

The GROW campaign hopes to change the lives of small scale producers, who make up 80% of the world’s poor. This involves increasing resources to provide access to land and infrastructure for small scale farmers, particularly women, who are the most vulnerable and have the least resources.

Climate change, global waste, land grabbing from the poor and living sustainably are issues that the campaign also focuses on to fix the broken food system and create a better way to grow, manage and share resources and food so everyone gets enough to eat always.

You too can help stir the pot on this vital issue by signing onto the GROW campaign.

Needless to say, we hope Julie has another good win!
