Oxfam is providing humanitarian assistance across Mozambique, Zimbabwe and Malawi in the aftermath of Cyclone Idai. Homes, agricultural lands, roads and communications have been completely wiped out in some areas, and the risk of deadly disease such as cholera is increasing. More than 1,000 people are feared to have lost their lives and at least 2.6 million people have been affected.
Oxfam is working urgently with local partners in southern Africa and plan to reach half a million people with essential aid, including emergency clean water, hygiene kits and emergency shelters. But we cannot do this without you.
You can support our humanitarian response to Cyclone Idai and the ongoing threat of disease by donating today. Your donation can help save lives.
Note: Should the funds raised exceed the amount required to meet the immediate and longer term needs of the people in each of the affected areas, Oxfam Australia will direct donations to respond to other emergencies as they occur.
