The lives of hundreds of thousands of men, women and children in Aleppo, Syria are at great risk. We urgently need your help to provide vital humanitarian aid to these families.
The crisis in Syria has raged for over five years, during which time more than 300,000 people have been killed. More than 6.3 million people have been internally displaced from their homes and more than 4.8 million refugees have fled to neighbouring countries including Jordan and Lebanon. Three-quarters of these refugees are women and children.
Of those who remain, 4.9 million Syrians are trapped in besieged or hard-to-reach areas including Aleppo, in critical need of food, clean water and sanitation.
This is a crisis of staggering proportions, one that requires a massive international humanitarian response.
Your donation is essential to help Oxfam provide access critical humanitarian aid.
Note: Should the funds raised exceed the amount required to meet the immediate and longer term needs of the people in the affected areas, Oxfam Australia will direct donations to our International Crisis Fund to enable us to rapidly address emergencies as they occur.
