The Partner-led response: How Oxfam is supporting Ukrainian refugees in Romania through local communities

Since the outbreak of the Ukrainian crisis in 2022, more than six million refugees have been recorded across Europe. In response, Oxfam partnered with local community organisations, working alongside them to operate faster and more effectively as the crisis unfolded.

Through partnering with FFCR (Romanian Federation for Community Foundations), comprising of 12 community foundations and 33 sub grantees, Oxfam has offered valuable support to groups working at a grassroots level with Ukrainian refugees in areas such as language lessons, psychosocial support through workshops, and therapy sessions.

Hear from representatives for these community foundations how working alongside Oxfam in partnership has allowed them to offer support to those affected by war, particularly minority refugee groups.

Together, we can continue to deliver aid to those experiencing humanitarian crises around the world. Consider donating so that this important work can continue.
