A couple months ago, we first introduced some of the families living with the impacts of the ongoing conflict in the Middle East. From Hussein in Lebanon to Niveen in Gaza, we shared their stories of displacement and the new challenges they face accessing basics like water because of the ongoing humanitarian crisis.

You read their stories and generously donated to help provide life-saving water and hygiene kits to families in crisis across the Middle East.

With the support of people like you, we have been delivering:

• Emergency clean water through water trucking, repairing and installing boreholes, water  tanks, and solar powered pumping systems
• hygiene kits and education on how to prevent disease
• support for long-term restoration of clean drinking water in areas impacted by conflict

As the humanitarian crisis across the region continues to deepen, your gift means more than we can say.

83% of Gaza's population are living below basic humanitarian standards.1 in 5 families is eating only one meal per day. People’s water needs remain far from being met, with approximately 60% of families facing difficulties in securing enough clean water.

Thanks to supporters like you, Oxfam and our local partners have delivered life-saving humanitarian aid to over 1.5 million people in Gaza, the West Bank and Lebanon since October 2023.

Your support also helps ensure we can remain long enough to support families as they recover and rebuild over the years ahead.

Communities need to survive in the short term, but with so much destruction, they face a long road to recovery. Reliable access to food, water and electricity are crucial to the communities who will need to rebuild their lives and livelihoods. Your ongoing support will help make this possible.
