Eddie Perfect hosting The Gala for Oxfam

It’s hard work being Mr Perfect. When he’s not busy winning multiple awards for his writing and compositions, or starring in the hit TV-show “Offspring,” comedian Eddie Perfect will be the host of the Melbourne International Comedy Festival Gala for Oxfam.

“I’m equal parts proud, excited and terrified to be hosting the 2014 Gala supporting Oxfam, celebrating my tenth year as a comedian, and kick-starting this insane month of laughter.” said Eddie.

On Wednesday 19 March 2014, a crowd of nearly 3000 people will pour into the Palais Theatre to watch an awesome line-up of some of the greatest stars of local and international comedy.

With the opportunity to witness comedy gold (and earn some karmic brownie points) The Gala is undeniably the hottest show in town with tickets selling out every year.

Can’t make the event? Good news. Network Ten cameras will record the show in front of a live audience and broadcast the event across Australia to give you at home an opportunity to contribute to the Gala Appeal.

Last year, the Gala raised $120,000 for people living in poverty. Donations raised from the Comedy Gala support Oxfam’s development work around the world.
