Fight for a fairer fashion industry

Right now, big fashion brands are part of a system that pays the women who make our clothes poverty wages, earning as little as 62 cents an hour.  

That’s why What She Makes supporters have been calling on brands to commit to ensuring the women who make our clothes are paid a living wage.  

And its working! Since 2017, 12 leading brands in Australia have made credible, public commitments to end the payment of poverty wages.

But the companies that own Jay Jays, Just Jeans, Peter Alexander, Myer, Katies, Millers, Rivers and Noni-B continue to hide their factory lists and refuse to commit to paying living wages or review their purchasing practices.
