Melbourne International Comedy Gala
A little introduction
The Melbourne International Comedy festival Gala needs little introduction.
Thanks to some of the greatest local and international comedy stars (and a legion of generous comedy fans) The Gala kick-starts a month of laughter and collects donations for Oxfam.
2014 Gala host, Eddie Perfect, will lead an awesome line-up at St Kilda’s historic Palais Theatre in support of Oxfam’s development work around the world.
Watching The Gala
The Gala is undeniably the hottest show in town with tickets selling out within minutes. Network Ten cameras will be on hand to record the show in front of a live audience with the event broadcast across Australia to give you at home an opportunity to donate.

Special announcement! Sammy J and Randy travel to South Africa for Oxfam
Australia’s well loved comedy duo and 2012 Gala hosts, Sammy J and Randy, are visiting South Africa to visit an Oxfam partner, Woza Moya. Woza Moya is a HIV and AIDS community care and support organisation. Their integrated approach includes child and youth care, food security/income generation, paralegal services as well as water, sanitation and hygiene programs.
